Make a ranged power attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 1d8 + your power ability modifier bludgeoning damage. Any non-empowered fire burning within the 5-foot square where the attack hits is reduced by 1 dice.

At High Levels. This power's damage increases at 5th level to 2d8, at 11th level to 3d8, and at 17th level to 4d8.

Extra Attack. If you have the Extra Attack class feature you may split your damage dice between multiple attacks. To do so, determine which dice will be used to roll damage for each attack before making the attack rolls. Your ability modifier is added to the damage of each attack, but only once per target.

For example…

Turtle Power is a 5th level Action Hero and has the Extra Attack feature. He is facing two mutated alligators and decides to use his Hydro Blast against both of them, using 1d8 against each. He makes two attack rolls and, if successful, he rolls 1d8 + his power ability modifier to determine the damage dealt to each mutant.

The next round he decides to focus on one of the mutants with his Hydro Blast and attacks the other with his machete. He rolls one attack with his Hydro Blast and, if successful, deals 2d8 + his power ability modifier to determine the damage dealt to one alligator and makes a melee weapon attack against the other.
