Negate Power

Duration: Instantaneous

Choose one creature, object, or power effect within range. Any active powers of 3rd level or lower on the target ends. For each power of a level higher in effect on the target, make a power check. The DC equals 10 + the power’s level. On a success, the power fails and has no effect.

Special. While Negate Power can be a power on its own, but it's often activated by spending a Hero Point and associated with a power suite such as Fiery Inferno or Telepathic Power. Even if this power is added to your power suite, Negate Power can only be used to end powers which make logical sense within your power concept. Using your telepathy to negate Mental Resistance or Psychal Beam makes sense. Using your control over fire to end Ice Barrier or Ignite makes sense. Using your telepathy to end an Ice Barrier does not make sense.

At Higher Levels. When you activate this power using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, you automatically end the effects of powers on the target if the power’s level is equal to or less than the level of the power slot you used.
